Sligo County Enterprise Fund Company
Sligo County Enterprise Fund was established in 1988 by the Sligo County Development Team with funding from the International Fund for Ireland and local contributions.
The Fund is a Company limited by guarantee and not having a share capital and having charitable status in accordance with the provisions of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997.
Directors of the Fund act in a voluntary capacity and are representative of all sectors of the local economy including the business sector. It has the support of State and local agencies.
Its mission is to:

Operate a revolving loan fund

Develop and manage workspace and services

Stimulate private investment and enterprise

Act as a catalyst in promoting community economic development

Foster cross-border economic partnerships

Promote initiatives for Inward Investment
Since its inception loans in excess of €2.5 million have been approved to assist small to medium sized companies in the county. .
The Fund Company in 2000 purchased a site at Sligo Airport Business Park Strandhill to develop a technology and enterprise centre to provide office and workspace together with meeting and training facilities for start up new enterprises.
The first phase of the development of 15000 sq ft was completed in 2002 with a further 9000 sq ft completed in 2007. Seventeen companies are now located at the centre.
